Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Currently under construction and no information about construction was on the website. Disappointing to travel 9 hrs to see the mosque and have it covered in construction scaffolding and not lit up at night. Many visitors and no one seemed to know about the construction.

The surroundings and breeze was amazing in this mosque. The location was too good. But i was expecting a huge mosque like putra mosque but it was not that kind of huge. And i was also expecting that the lighting will be so strong at night but it was not that much powerful. Overall very good place to visit.

The uniqueness of this mosque comes from its interesting exterior design and it is coated with steel, glass and crystal. Also have souvenir and food stall at the mosque area. We can enjoy food and at the same time enjoyed the view of beautiful mosque. Good place to visit with family.

My hotel reception booked me a Grab car to bring me from my hotel to the Crystal Mosque. The Grab driver kindly waited for me for about 30 minutes while i took some photos of the Crystal Mosque and its surroundings. I could not view the inside of the Crystal Mosque due to it apparently being cleaned up, at the time of my visit. I found the islamic architecture of the Crystal Mosque to be quite beautiful and rather fascinating. Definitely worth a visit if one happens to be in Kuala Trengganu.

Quite a fascinating sight. The mosque is made is glass, steel and crystal, I believe. Situated in the Islamic Civilisation Park itself, it is nice to visit it and walk around the park. People actually fly kites in the park during evening time.

If there has ever been a less accurate guide book entry than 'non-Muslims may not be permitted entry' I haven't read it.
We were welcomed, given appropriate clothing and taken on a guided tour. We were invited to join the prayers, and when we politely declined, a member of the congregation sat with us and explained what was happening. We then sat for half an hour chatting in English with the locals.
When it was time for us to go, we asked where the bus left from to take us back to town. The bad news was that the last one had gone for the day. The good news was that the group who had welcomed us were heading there and were more than happy to drop us off!
Rarely have I been more welcomed... And the mosque is pretty too. Not outstanding as a building, but attractive enough. The people are the highlight.

This is a very beautiful mosque. It is quite small compared to other mosque but the architecture is amazing. If you take the river cruise, the sunlight will shine on the mosque's dome making it glitter, thus the name Crystal Mosque

The place is hard to reach without a car. But the mosque and its surrounding is gorgeous. We have been to many mosques around south east Asia but crystal mosque is one of the most beautiful despite of its small size.
They will provide costume to enter the mosque, for FREE, the Malays there are very friendly and chatty. Nice experience to spend a short 1 hour there.

This beautiful mosque is a short ride out of Kuala Terengganu but well worth a visit. Masjid Tengku Tengah Zaharah lives up to its 'floating mosque' label with its riverside location and stunning architecture. The local bus provides a sporadic service and if available is the cheapest option at RM1 to get there. Alternatively a local taxi will cost RM15-20. Once at the mosque all religions are assured a warm welcome from the staff and volunteer students who are excellent and knowledgeable guides. The visit is best made in conjunction with a visit to the Islamic education park which has miniature mosques from around the world (5minutes walk away) and a trip to the Terengganu State Museum Complex about 30 mins walk away. There is also a riverside restaurant near the mosque and a circular river cruise which enroute visits Palau Duyung and its famous boatbuilders.
