Joseph was very knowledgeable and pleasant. His English is excellent. Enjoyed the visit to the market as much as the cooking. Can’t relate to some of the negative comments as we cooked our curry and sago dessert from scratch. It was fun, educational and satisfying...More

We enjoyed the Cooking Class. However, with its use of British curry powder, evaporated milk and fried potatoes it was clearly not authentic. We also found Joseph somewhat hypocritical in espousing the use of Pandan leaves and rattan bags to reduce plastic, yet using plastic...More

This was the best experience we had in Kuching. It is a hands on three-course meal cooking class with a trip to the local market to buy the ingredients before hand. Joseph is super knowledgeable and a very friendly and informative guy. He also does...More

Wonderful afternoon spent with Joseph learning about Malaysian cooking. Fantastic food, some of the best we have had, excellent learning and enjoyable. Joseph is incredibly knowledgable. Highly recommended. A must do when in Kuching.

Joseph is a great teacher and an enthusiast for his native Sarawak and its culture. The visit to the market is worth the price on its own. Unfamiliar ingredients seen raw and priced. Compare stalls and qualities. Then back to base to pound ginger and...More
