The mosque is beautiful on the outside. It has good views, but the visit was underwhelming. There is not much to do there. The outside structure is good but thats it. If you don't have a lot of time in Kota kinabalu and are trying to fit in a lot of things in a short period, give this one a... More

Looks nice, but no area to walk around. Building has no garden area and is heading road from 1 side. So no much to do except a 10 min walk and pair of photo if you are not a muslim.

I have visited it with friends. One of the most beautiful mosques I have ever seen. The view of water and mosque is attractive. The interior designing of mosque is beautiful.

Since Kota Kinabalu is a bit small, only a few interesting landmarks are worth visiting. This is one of those, the largest mosque in Sabah. Appropriate clothing is required or if you do not have one, you can rent the whole ensemble for just 5 ringgits (I was given a shalwar and a praying cap). The interior is composed of... More

Our visit to this mosque was part of a half day tour of Kota Kinabalu. As mosques go it is of course functional and pleasant but not outstanding from a tourists view. We were made most welcome.

Love the view at this place. One could enter the mosque except during the main prayers. So, if want to visit avoid Friday. If do not want to enter the mosque, one could always enjoy the spectacular view of the mosque from outside. In fact, it is much nicer to see it from a distant.

The mosque is surrounded by a small lake. The water is a bit dirty but there is a lot of fish in the lake. For non-muslims visitors, they are not allowed to enter the mosque during prayer time. So make sure you check the local prayer time before you come to the mosque. Proper attire also needed to enter the... More

It is one the famous mosque in Sabah. It is a bit far from Gaya street, it is better to take a taxi than public transport. It is surrounded by a lake, that is why it looks like a mosque on the sea. It is beautiful for taking photo there no matter it is day or night. It is also... More
