We didn't come to the waterfront just for this sign, but it is a lovely spot on the small boardwalk overlooking the water. We strolled along and ate at the seafood market which was a perfect way to end our day.

The Waterfront is a mixed bag of markets, boats, rundown buildings and new areas like it in the photo. There is also lots of smells in the area, most not pleasant! The markets sold an interesting array of products but we decided not to try...More

This sign is next to the round about with the merlin statue. People tend to take pics in front of it. the boardwalk behind is a good place to catch the sunset too! This place is also near a food markets and the central market.

The "I Love KK" statue makes a useful, central meeting point on the waterfront when exploring Kota Kinabalu. Interesting scenery and a good place to stop for a drink.
