It takes about an hour to walk the gardens but to see the tropical flowers and especially the carnivorous trumpet flower up close and personal makes for a pleasant stroll

The gardens are easily accessible. There is a large variety of tropical plants, especially native orchids. B oard walks are great.

This was an amazing experience. Don’t be fooled by the scale of it though, it is a very hard climb due to the altitude and the changing weather climate.

The national park was a pleasant walk, many of the trails were closed because of landslides. The temperature was a lot cooler compared to the towns, but still not cold. There's not much wildlife other than insects. But nice to get out of the town....More

We went to the national park to see a mountain rainforest. It was nice to experience cooler temperatures. The park is also very peaceful and clean. However, there isn't much to do if you aren't there to make the climb up the mountain. Apparently there...More

The Mount Kinabalu National Park/Botanic Gardens are a must visit. There are plenty of attractions in the park so some research before you travel will enhance your trip. Entry RM 15 for "foreign" visitors. Highly recommended !

Refreshing place to go to when you visit the Mt. Kinabalu National Park. You get to see different plant varieties that are best grown or abundant in Sabah, and the place is just like a Sanctuary: cool, green and refreshing.

Hi Mel Yeo, We rented a car and drove up because we also visited other attractions other than the garden. There’s Poring Hotspring and other stops you can make on the way down. I suggest you get your hotel concierge to give... More

We did this as a daytrip from Kota Kinabalu. We had pre-arranged a tour via Borneo Eco Tours. I guess local agents can arrange this trip or alternatively rent a car yourselve. It is a easy to drive and daytrip. You can hire... More
