Had a great climbing trip for my 6 clients who went to climb this mountain. This is my 4th trip here and this time, it was full of surprises. We had a free upgrade to the Kinabalu Lodge when original was Grace lodge. To our surprise, it was fabulous for all of us. One thing was that, there was no... More

Was met an hour and half later than scheduled, not by the tour bus but by a lady from the office, who explained to be that there is a system error. However I spoke to her at 7:40am (pickup was at 7:30am) where she said the bus was running late and would be there by 8am, 8:20am i called again... More

Since the weather conditions were not very good, we had to stay down under the Mountain. There are a couple of nice trails through the jungle. We haven't met a person during the whole morning, which was amazing! We also visited Mountain Garden. Totally worth seeing.

I did not do the hike up the mountain. Instead I wanted to go to this park to hike around and bird the area. I took a taxi from the airport which cost 90 MYR for a 2-2.5 hour journey. The drop off point is the at the only hotel in the park, where I was staying. You can get... More

We didn't have time on our trip to climb the mountain, so decided to have a walk around the trails in the park before continuing on to Sandakan. We paid 15 MYR (£3), dropped our bags off at the storage facility in the lodge, grabbed a map and we were on our way. Whilst the map is rather rudimentary, it's... More

For locals living in the tropical lowlands this park problem has greater meaning that for those of us from temperate climates: cool, high up, lots more rain, and terrific views. If you are here for hiking and spending a day or two there's plenty to do. We just passed by briefly on the Sandakan-KK road, so it was a little... More

We drove from KK to Kinabalu park which takes around 2 hours. The trails are nice, but I think the two nicest (because of its view on Mt. K) ones are still closed. The other 7 don't have much variety. Prices OK.

It's a local's favourite park. Mostly the local love to bring their family to relax at this park. Don't throw away the ticket when you enter this park if you have plan for the trip to Poring. It's another great destination for visitor and quite save for you because you can use the same ticket for two place.

I hiked almost all the trails during my 2 day stay here. You can obtain a map from the park entrance which descibes the distance, length, and often the difficulty of each trail. I found these descriptions generally pretty accurate. The park entrance staff will also tell you if any trails are closed - two were closed during my visit... More

Your visit to Sabah is not complete if you fail to visit Kinabalu Park. Even if you don't want to climb the mountain, you have to visit this place. It was wonderful to walk or just take a drive up & enjoy the view of Mount Kinabalu. The mount looks majestic & beautiful.
