Whilst unassuming, this small slice of Penang's history was both entertaining and informative. Staffed by [mostly] young personnel, the level of knowledge and insight was far beyond that available in mere "text books"; a very interesting and enlightening hour-or-so, much enjoyed.

If you are a tourist (ie "Foreigner") steer well clear of this overpriced museum. Visit the state museum instead and learn far more at a fraction of the price. Upstairs photo opportunities might appeal to some but I thought were tawdry.

We loved the reading and learning about the history of Penang, as we knew very little. To top it off we finished with the upstairs 3D art gallery which is included in the entry fee. Staff there will tell you where to stand for that...More

Love the place, lits of exhibits with explanations. Very goid if you're interested in Penang/M'sia history. Another plus point is the 3Dmurals upstairs, and they have staff stand by to assist in photography in. Ase if you're not sure which angle or how to post!

I didn't go into it because of the price, but we sent our 2 teenagers in. They loved it. They were in there over 3 hours and even then we had to make them come out !!

I went there to witness the city in the olden days. It is fascinating how far we have come from those times in many aspects till the massive development of modern Penang. Of course world war 2 period was the most significantly suffering times ever...More

Went through some history of Penang followed by glow in the dark photo taking session and end off with 3D photo taking. Interesting concept of all in 1. A great place to hide from the heat outside and yet have some fun..
