This is a review for The Top @ Komtar. It only covers the theme park, not the skydeck. Firstly, super overpriced tickets of almost RM100 per person, and doesn't even include admission to all attractions. Next, the attractions are really lousy, manned by unenthusiastic workers who are clearly there for their paycheck only. The Jurassic Research Center attraction is gimmicky... More

The Top @ Komtar We went as we were in town anyway. Pros- good view as long as you pick a clear day, organised and welcoming staff, bar at the top, interesting automated orchestra, places to sit and enjoy the view. Photographer on hand to take your photo on the glass rainbow bridge. They have clearly made an effort and... More

The actual Komtar tower is not very impressive, many of the shops on the lower levels were closed and were also very repetitive in their contents. However, once you step out of the old tower comples and into the mass of Malls around it, the whole atmosphere changes. Busy, vibrant Malls packed with excited shoppers both the buying kind and... Penang, also known as the "Pearl of the Orient" is a lovely island to visit in Malysia. Amongst all its natural wonders, now there is a new adventure to visit and try. That is the Komtar Rainbow Skywalk. You are taken to the TOP of the KOMTAR building ; up to the 68th floor to get that undescribable experience. The... More

We paid RM88 (as Malaysians, slightly pricier entrance for non-Malaysians), which is quiet expensive by Malaysian standards. Expectedly, the food and drinks on the top floor observatory are also quite pricey (2-3 times the cost of a beer at "ground level". The view and experience was great though, and worth seeing "when in Penang". The complex is full of interesting... More

The whole building is filled with offices and shopping complex. There are many money changers too. Good restaurants too in this Komtar. Under this building is the bus station. Yoiu can take any bus to any part of the island. Nearby you have hotels . Good place.

While Komtar has clear signage for City Bus route, the staff with yellow shirts doesn't have any clue abt Free Shuttle for Penang Ballon Fiesta 2017. No help from them at all, just asking visitor to "wait outside" - other means is " don't care" There's a total of 5 people from different nationality (Ipoh-Malaysia & China) wait outside for... Visited this place with my wifey for CNY. Visited the observatory deck which was magnificent. The surprise view of Penang after the video tour was surprising. Braveheart souls can step on the glass platform and take pics. The tempered glass is the only thing supporting you and many peoples are over that which increases the heart beat. The entry fee...
