Took a walk though the old town to checkout all the lovely old buildings Ipoh has to offer. This gorgeous clocktower is close to the Town Hall and not far from the Railway station so a good morning's walk ticked all the boxes.

This clock tower is walking distance near Kwong Heng Square Artisan Market. If you can't stand the hot weather, please wear cap or bring an umbrella.

Birch Memorial Clock Tower was built in 1909 as a memorial to the first British Resident who was murdered in 1875. The tower has four statues around the top symbolizing "loyalty, patience, justice and fortitude" designed to represent the virtues of the British administration.

You certainly can’t miss this when you come out of the train station. It’s large and has some beautiful color panels along the top. Be sure to visit during a time when the Call to prayer doesn’t go off as it will scare you to...More

Up from the train station, we walked past this Clock Tower, and as we walked past it -- it actually rang! It scared us a bit because we weren't expecting it. With the colonial architecture and the nice greenway in front of the train station,...More
