Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited on a week day - no queues, even the guide said Friday, Saturday and Sunday have 2 hour queues. The boat trip through the cave was good and the small mirror lake at the end was very tranquil. We stayed about 10 minutes, glad we did it but would have been disappointed if we had had to queue.

Fun!
Not exactly zipping around on Zodiaks but it is a fun boat ride.
The lakes, a Kinta Valley fare.
The coffee place, there are two - one across from the small jetty where the lake tour starts. One further up - go up! The coffee is very good!

The journey there was around 15 mins by car from old town. The roads leading up to the entrance of the cave/lake was full of gravel so the car must drive in slowly. The experience was very short, overall 10-15 mins and you would be done by it also depends on your preference on how long to stay at the site. The view was stunning and worthwhile going first thing in the morning when the crowds are less so you can get pictures of the scenery on its own without people interfering in the shots. There's a coffee shop nearby which you can have their famous kopi at as well. Prices are a little steep at this shop.

Unique place which I suggest visitor when come Ipoh to put this in their itinerary to visit. Discover the beauty of this hidden gem. Friendly boatman with history info of the place makes your trip a fruitful one.

My fiancé and I went to the Tasik Cermin 2 which was a great experience. Being city folk, the rafting experience was amazing. Our guide, a chubby, very talkative, funny man not only told us stories, he also made the lot of us, a raft of strangers all comfortable and excited to be on that ride. The adventure started off at an intriguing looking water cave entrance that took us through the 120m long water tunnel full of stalactites dripping with water droplets, crystals in certain locations, with the ceiling height varying, requiring you to bend down as and when necessary which eventually opened up into a whole new location (gave me those movie feels whereby you are transported into a whole new place after journeying into some obscure tunnel). Absolutely breathtaking. There’s so much more I would love to say but best is for you to come and experience it. I would advise coming when the sun is not too hot. I would definitely go here again and recommend it to everyone.

I would say to people to look at lake 1 and do the boat ride there. There is an expensive entrance fee to walk through a tunnel to look at lake 2, which is not worth the money. They have discounted the tickets as they have not finished building everything there but even then, it can't be justified.

This place is no longer what it was!
It is now a strictly commercial operation with ticket office and entrance fee, the tunnel is well lit with electric lights and another ticket desk at the other end for those wishing to join the boat tours. Back outside, there is an extremely large toilet block near the Free WiFi Grab pick up point across the carpark from the large restaurant.
Construction is on-going with the creation of more restaurants and shops.
Serene or relaxing it is not.
More like a circus.

Visited Tasik Cermin - There 2 sites, Tasik Cermin 1 and 2 which are about 250m apart from one another. The lake is serene and still - surrounded by lots of massive limestone. For RM25 per person, you will get to ride a dinghy for about 20 minutes – don’t worry as life-jacket is provided.

I have been to Ipoh many times but have never seen this place before. It has everything; spectacular scenery that you can get right in among, a tunnel through the rock to do so, vertical limestone cliffs with trees clinging to them and rooted in the fantastic lake you can cruise or canoe on, great parking for cars, and great food and service in the restaurant. I won't miss it next time I'm in Malaysia!

The passage to that lake was quite fascinating, dark inside naturally and reach to the out cave.
The entrance fee will be counted once at RM5.00, as the car parking lot was all fine gravel stones.
But there's a lot of people reached to that lake, so we didn't get a good chance to take nice photos.

Its along gunung rapat to simpang pulai main road. You see the Isuzu lorry showroom. The road beside the showroom lead to a quarry. From the quarry, locate a cave. Go through the cave and you will see the lake.
