Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful building and well worth a visit, booking ticket to KL very helpful ticket office. Pick a ticket before you queue number comes up and away you go for ticket and travel info. Tickets very cheap. Book in advance recommended as can get full quickly. Happy travels

Ipoh's railway station is an elegant, encompassing structure that somehow exceeds the size of the city. It marks the past affluence of the former mining city. Functionally and aesthetically, it is valuable to Ipoh. The historic downtown is within walking distance.

Wished they maintained this placed better. It could use a coat of paint and cleaning. Very beautiful architecture. What a waste to leave it to slowly deteriorate. Definitely a heritage landmark that would be much appreciated.

We caught the train from Kuala Lumpur to ipoh, trip was about 2 hours. Was relaxing and not as noisy as I thought it would be. The old train station, is just that OLD. Plenty of character, not a great deal of the modern day age there. But it was still easy to navigate your way around.

Although it's small, it has a nice historical architecture. It's located in Ipoh old town and hence, near to many good eating places in town. This is a place to hop into northbound or southbound trains.

The station is a typical example of Brit colonial architecture. In a poor state of repair and probably of null interest to most visitors. Same sentiment applies to the nearby war memorial (poor condition) and clock tower.

The station functions well as a station, but the architecture is really impressive.
Try to find time away from buying tickets, finding cabs and not missing your train to have a proper look at the place.
From the ornamental gardens outside aswell if you can.

This historical beautiful railway station was really very beautiful. Walking among the hallways outside the station, its not hard to imagine being lost in time and getting transported back to 100 years ago. Marvel in the beautiful architecture and one can take quite a number of photos there.

This is worth visiting as part of the Heritage trail (note : a map of this trail is available online or is available at the tourist information office).
The city center has undergone a good protection and renovation programme.

Arrived by ETS. Stepped out from the KTMB lobby and looked to the left and immediately you'll noticed the Majestic Hotel Walk. Gloomy from far, it was actually a quiet walk till the end. Should the hotel still operates, I think the walk will be much brighter.
