Definitely worth checking out the night market. It's free, after all. Plenty of places to park across the river if you have a car. The food however was not great. We tried some chicken satay which was the worst we had in Malaysia (mostly skin and bone) and some Indian fried food (I can't remember its name) which was surprisingly... More

Well worth a visit. All the locals shop there. Lots of food just selective what you eat. Cheap cloths only small sizes they do not cater for tourist. The markets change location each day. Still a lot of fun.

The night market was a must see . My advice is skip dinner before you go as there are numerous stalls where they are barbecuing and the food is delicious. This is not so much a tourist market, locals eat here and buy clothes, veg etc but that's why it is a great place to experience.

Coming from Penang , we found the Langkawi night market an average one . We compared it with the Batu Ferrangi Night Market . The night market will be a good experience for those coming from outside Malaysia.

Good food but all are kind a sweetly taste, variation of food is amazing. I visited with my family while I was vacation in Langkawi. So many foods and all are looking yummy. Kabab, finger foods, dessert awesome. But all foods cooked with small amount of sugar so small difficulties who love spices in their food.

It's a typical Asian market selling a mix of fake goods, cheap cack and super cheap and tasty food ( you would find it difficult to spend more than 10 ringgit. The market moves to a different location every night so grab an island map to find out which one is nearest to you and when .

We went to the local market and enjoyed some food which was freshly prepared and tasted well with the local cuisine. If you are in the island, do track and visit atleast one of them. you will like it.
