This is another magnificent place . The building is standing on a height facing the sea and Singapore . It is also on the main high way so included in the tie art list of the conducted tour .

Went for visit late morning on a Thursday. According to hotel staff both buildings and grounds supposedly open. Outer gates locked and guarded by unfriendly army troops. Of course, no English. Returned in mid-afternoon on off chance, closure was event related with no luck. Adding to misery finding a taxi for return was impossible. Ignore the guidebooks, don't waster your... More

The State Place probably refers to the cluster of State buildings directly opposite the Johor Bahru Waterfront City. It comprises the High Court, the Magistrate Court, the Central Post Office, Taman Sultan, the Land Office, the Tourism Board, the State Secretariat Building, etc. I came to visit this place for at least five occasions. It is just five minutes walk... More

JB is a popular place for Singaporeans to visit on daytrips and is easily accessible by various public transport options. Be prepared for massive queues at immigration on the Malaysian side upon arrival. There are a few ok sights within walking distance of the immigration complex and a few ok shopping malls with prices usually slightly lower than Singapore. The... More

It was blocked off with police and we could not get in, but it was interesting from the outside. If you are out for a walk, go take a look, but do not make a special trip.

Just a side trip outside Singapore, nothing much to see. Went to see a Kampong a traditional Malaysian house, and the Batik makers.

The place is like death city as most place has been closed down especially the museum, culture places and few famous restaurants. It seems due to the immigration office has been transfer to causeway, lot of place has been closed down due to less people

Located at the southern tip of the Peninsula, Johor Bahru is the state capital of Johor Darul Takzim. Johor Bahru , in short, was established in 1855 by the late Sultan Abu Bakar (The Father of Modern Johor) and now serves as the administrative and commercial center of the state. Connected to Singapore by road and rail via a modern... More
