This is one of the most beautiful landmarks I have ever been to. There is a hiking trail "Darb el Sama" which takes one from the coast to this exact location. The trail starts from Sahel Alma. It's a hike that takes about 1-2 hours and is advanced due to the inclination of the mountain. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

if you are already on the top of the hill you might want to say some prayers at the churches. churches has regular masses along the week during different timings and off the masses you can go into the church to have your own prayers.

You need to visit. Unique. The area is sacred. Need to visit and praise God for the beauty of the place and the peace that it can offer for the mind and soul.

We arrived this place by taking the cable car, and it was Sunday morning, there was a service going inside. It was amazing to see the service conducted in Arabic and with Arabic style music. The church itself is a wonderful modern architecture to visit.

an exeption from my food-related review. I visited Harissa during my last stay in lebanon, and I was just positively impressed by the gathering of poeple of all sort of religions, escoecially I loved to see Christian and Muslim together, all for praying the Virgin mary Our Lady of Lebanon

This is one of my favorite spiritual and religious spots in the country. When standing at the feet of the Virgin Mary statue at the top I feel transported. I like visiting Harissa at night when there is low foot fall, and no tourists. It helps me focus on my prayers. This sanctuary is a must visit for prayers only... More
