Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Whether you are religious or not, this place offers a very spiritual experience where we leaved a peaceful and very emotional moment. The cedars arount the hermitage are beautiful and the view to the valley is breathtaking. You can hear the sound of the wind in the valley, mixed with the bell of the church and almost hear the whispering prayers of the most ancient christians.
The only word that can describe this place is "peace".

The perfect place to go for someone with a troubled heart. Each time I visit, I feel relaxed and happy. My troubles seem so trivial that I feel I can "go on".

saint charbel is, in lebanon, the most known saint. people from all over the world, and especially the middle east come visit. even muslims come from kuwait, dubai, qatar and from all over lebanon to visit this place and ask for miracles. there, u can see saint charbel's tomb (his 150 years old body is still in excellent conditions) and his old clothes, his bed, his utensils, and even the room he used to pray in. muslim, jewish, christians, u should visit this amazing place!

In Annaya you will visit the tomb of St. CAHRBEL a very famous Catholic saint of world reknown. In the monastery of Saint Maroun you will visit the tomb as well as see many items that Charbel used and read about miracles he performed and testimonies of thousands of people around the world who asked for his intercession on their behalf. The monastery keeps 1000s of letters from around the world expressing gratitude for blessings and healings granted by the intercession of Saint Charbel
