Great views

Really nice views. Hawkers are a bit annoying and deeper water would've been nice. We went to papa remo beach club which is pricey but class.

The beach was and could be amazing. However it suffers from serious erosion and litter problems. The medina hotels has huge sandbags on the beach front. See photos. The authorities seem to do nothing about the litter and the illegal fishing in the reserve

The village of Watamu, along with its many beaches, is an amazing place to visit. Our family of 5 spent a week there is July of 2016. There are multiple beaches to visit during your stay (turtle bay beach, blue beach, watamu bay beach, garoda beach) all of which can be accessed within a 10 min tuk-tuk ride. As many... More

Great food and beautiful beach to walk around. We also had good ice cream and bought fresh fruits and veggies. People are friendly and assumed we were Italian tourist.

Watamu Beach is a truly beautiful beach! Low tide is by far the best time to visit because erosion and development have taken over a fair amount of the shoreline. The low tide time has amazing tidal pools and soft white sand to explore. Do be wary of young locals who walk the shore with you then ask for money.... More

Simply fantastic for a number of reasons; beautiful sand for walks or a run in the morning or afternoon when the tide is low. Excellent dive sites with a rich coral barrier and an incredible variety of marine fauna with good dive centers along the beach. Small shops along the beach where you can buy souvenirs. On offer include beaded... More

Amazing coral beach and blue water. Better when the ocean is flat. The beachboys will annoy you as crazy if you let them talk. Get a fresh coconut and drink it in the water. Nice experience

The town of Watamu is located on Kenyas east coast about 90 km north of Mombasa. It is an ideal place for those who prefer to be away from the commercial centre of Mombasa. The beaches are superb. My favourite place to stay is Turtle Bay Beach Club. There are many attractions to visit nearby such as Arabuko Forest, a... More

This is beautiful white sand beach which unfolds its true beauty once the tide is low. Then the water reveals beautiful white sand bottom full of small holes trapping small fishes in there and forming crystal water lagoons where people usually sit or lie down and enjoy warm water and white sand mini swimming pools. There are lots of locals... More
