So this place is quite grand so good to take a look. During the day we came there were so many wedding couples who came to take photos and totally understand why because could see the grandeur of the place. Nice park for a nice walk on a nice day when weather is good.

We visited here after we came down from Kok Tobe. It was a cold day after a night of snow so place was empty and attractions (amusement park staff for kids) were shut down. It has a lake in it and Almaty Zoo is nearby. Lake was frozen when we visited so no canoing was possible. It has a Delphinarium... More

I'm not a biologist, but those plants are beautifull! You can deffinetly feel purity of the air is here. Many thing to do for people of all ages: calm ferris wheel, shooting ranges, room of fear, few cafes etc. Or you can just wonder around and enjoy yourself and this place! Prices are OK.

Great green oasis in the center of busy city. Good for walking , jogging, relaxation. Lot of flowerbeds. Many wedding ceremonies on a weekends. There are a big statue of eternal Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbaev with stone wings on the back. It is a bit unusual for a living person. Otherwise it is a friendly and relaxed place

A very interesting place to spend a morning walking around on a nice day looking at all the different things in the park and maybe trying a few of the attractions out, in the permanent fairground or marine & aqua park. The colours in the flower beds were excellent considering it was the end of September.

I am assuming it is a temperature that will not give you hypothermia so April to October, but this is a park for business men to stretch their legs if they are staying in a nearby hotel - I was in the Medeu round the corner. There are few maps in this town/hotel so I recommend you get a map... More
