We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The light-up looked really beautiful but they blocked both entrances in the excuses of covid-19. However, people gathered at both ends to enjoy and take photos of the lights like crazy.
1. It's more infectious than letting people in.
2. It's more dangerous to run into a car accident since the light-up is in the middle of the street.

The street symbolizes the name of Sendai as "the city of trees". Unfortunately, led lighting does not work in the summer, so there is no romance. Erotic sculptures are not highlighted too. We can only guess. Summary: everything is very sad on a summer evening.

The place is very famous about winter special decoration, 17:00-0:00. Even though summer time, the place is so beautiful to go for walk.

This avenue is tree lined and has a median area walkway also tree lined. There are a few statues in the median. The trees are lit up in mid to late December for a few hours in the evening. Right as the lights are turned on, the place is jam packed with people but afterwards the crowds thin out. I'm told there is one pink light and if you can find it, your romantic wish will come true. The trees are yellow in the Fall and green in the summer. There are some stores and restaurants as well as parks along this avenue. It's a good 30 minute walk from Sendai station or you can take the subway. I often get off here toward the end of the Loople Line and walk from here back to Sendai station.

This wide avenue is tree-lined, and decorated with some monumental (bronze) statues carved by the Italian sculptor Emilio Greco. It makes for a pleasant daytime walk. IN the (autumn) evenings, trees "come alive" with fairy lights-- just lovely!

It's a nice street with many shops and restaurants around. The main part of it is the alley in the middle. It looks good, but as a European, I didn't find it too special. There are some statues and flower beds on the alley as well.

Went at night with the wife. We were disappointed to find the trees not lit up, apparently that only happens in winter.
Still, it was a nice stroll, plenty of tall leafy trees, clean broad sidewalks and balmy weather. Plus, it was quiet when we went, a refreshing change from the tourist choked main streets of Osaka and Kyoto. A few nice restaurants too, although we couldn't find anything with an English menu (for more food options and other "action", one should head to Kokobun-Cho).
It's almost impossible to visit a small city like Sendai and not walk down the main street. But Jozenji Dori is worth it, especially at night.
