We took this visit as part of the pass (1200¥) to the Hakkoda-Maru ferry, ASPA observatory and Nebuta museum. This pass is so worth purchasing if you have a free afternoon in Aomori. We so enjoyed the panoramic movie, though I advise you not to spin around too much or it could make you sick. The local stall holders on... More

We have visited this "triangular-shaped" structure near the waterfront by early June this year. Many souvenir shops were there apart from the Observation Deck on 6th floor where entrance fee was necessary. You could buy a combine ticket of Yen 1,300 if you also want to see the neighbouring tourist spots as well. If you were lucky, you could also... More

As Aomori Prefecture Tourist centre, it is not really a tourist attraction itself. But, surprisingly visit to this place is quite enjoyable. There are lots of shops selling products related to apple, restaurants, souvenir kiosks, huge sitting area look over the ocean and observatory tower on sixth floor. Buy the combination ticket with Nebuta Warasse and Hakkoda Maru for ¥1300.

Besides the souvernir and local produce stores on the ground level, the 2nd floor do have more to offer...a commumity cultural center with an observation deck facing the seafront, a panoramic cinema which screens local cultural films, a nebuta cultural center and an interactive center showcasing birds eye view of futuristic cities, the seas amd environment in general. Its a... More

We arrived here at just the right tome to catch the tsugaru jamisen performance, which was fantastic. Afterwards we wandered around the shops to buy souvenirs, but found the customer service to be lacking. A large busload of tourists was there at the same time as us, so perhaps they had become tired and jaded by it all. Either way,... More

Plenty of souvenirs to choose, and the view is good. Almost every Aomori souvenirs sells here. Very accessible from Aomori station.

This A-shape building is certainly a landmark of Aomori. We came here twice on a back-to-back cruise and we had two very different experience here. Our shuttles stopped right here the first time we came so it was only natural to go inside for a peek. Check out the many apple products here, fascinating! We bought some ice-cold apple juice,... The building is hard to miss. It's a giant A shape around 4 blocks from the train station. This place can be crowded and chaotic when the tour buses are in. You can pay to go up for a view but I didn't do this. I stayed on the ground floor where souvenirs and different types of food were being... More

Great place for souvenir shopping with a lot of the local delicacies. Do try to apple pie and brand apple cake.

This A shaped building along with the adjacent bridge is the most striking feature of this great city. Its a combination of a mall, education/cultural centre, restaurants and a watch tower on top. The ground floor has a plush shopping arcade and also local fruits and delicacies are sold like in a flea market. If you are lucky you might... More
