Disappointingly small, but maybe some day it will move to bigger quarters so the entire collection can be displayed.

Take a break here from walking the city, it's informative, well presented and an enjoyable rest. Could you a little more non-Japanese information, but overall a nice break. Of course, shopping and dining on any of the floors below it.

Not knowing much about Okinawa's history is solved in a well laid out and easily understood small museum, well worth a hour or so to provide a context for everything else you may see

Because we had been to the Prefectual Museum and Shuri-Jo Castle this small Collection made sense. The photos of Naha and Okinawa before WW2 were very interesting especially as Naha was devastated by the Battle of Okinawa and most of the sites were destroyed. Not...More

It is with great disappointment that I am writing this review. The only positive thing about this "museum" was the friendliness of the staff. Unfortunately, many artefacts were destroyed during the Battle of Okinawa; therefore there really is very little to see here. The majority...More

The Naha City Museum is located inside a large shopping mall, and contains artefacts donated by the descendants of the Ryukuyuan royal family. It is a surprisingly tiny museum considering the history of the subject matter. While there are some interesting items on display, it's...More
