This park is huge and sprawling in between Shiritsu Byouinmae and Gibo stations on Yui Rail. It is a beautiful, peaceful place where you can talk a walk, hear people practicing the Okinawan sanshin, play sports, relax in the sunshine, do a bit of hiking through the forest, or visit a shrine. Bring a lot of water in the summer... More

This is a very large park with paths, forests, streams, and a hilltop shrine. It is easily accessed by Monorail (Gibo Station). Considering it is right in the middle of busy Naha City, it is pretty amazing.

We were feeling we needed a bit of exercise, so decided to head to Sueyoshi Park for a hike. It's a 5 minute walk from the train station, and a GPS was helpful in finding the entrance (otherwise look for the trees on a hill and head towards that direction.) The park is small. We were at the shrine in... More

i love visiting this park as it gives you excellent views of the city and monorail. There are places for sports as well as relaxing in the shade of the trees. Many types of local flora grow here revealing beautiful colors and scents. There is a shrine in the back of the park that is worth visiting as well.

A refreshing retreat from the city, the natural park was like an enchanted forest with a small waterfall and excellent vantage points for scenic views of Naha. Wear proper walking shoes because of algae/moss/lichen covered stone-paved paths. Plenty of mosquitoes as well.

Nice breathing space after all that shopping on Kokusai street! We got off at the Gibo station so most of the way was downhill (some parts were steep). The paths were wide and clean, very comfortable to walk. We also brought a stroller and it was pretty easy to navigate through the park, saves some stairs. The day we went... More

This park is quite a rare gem in such a developed city. This large patch of wilderness illustrates what it means to venture into a subtropical forest. There are many paths to explore which will take you to tombs, streams, viewpoints, and ultimately the Sueyoshi Shrine. One of the lesser visited attractions in Naha (when I went there were very... It's kinda tropical, easy-to-walk around park. But make sure you have your walking shoes if you want to be off the beaten tracks. It is a pocket of wilderness in the Naha city. Interesting flora and fauna to be see.

This attraction is something you wouldn't expect to find in a bustling city capital like Naha. To me, it's like a nature preserve. I have just stepped out of a car in the parking area and, within 20 meters, spotted a woodpecker in the trees. The trails are well maintained, though walking shoes, rather than sandals, are recommended, if you... More
