Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of the nicest park I have seen. Well maintained. The mini Fuji mountain is cute. Took some really awesome pictures cause it was a beautiful day. Some fat kois too.

This park is quite big for place in Kumamoto City. Great place for exercise and leisure. Running around the whole park is about 10km. If you go to Shimoezuko it is near the zoo and walking around the lake is quite scenic as you can see the mountain range on a sunny day. Kamiezuko has a boat house where you can host bbq parties and ride on pedal boats around the park. Many people play Pokemon go inbetween Kamiezuko and Shimoezuko. There is also a boat shed for rowers in Shimoezuko.

This was second time I visited this pretty park in a year - last time it was in the morning and this time around 4pm, the view was somehow different because of sunlight but still was very impressive. We were lucky this time there was a latern festival. Should not be missed if visiting Kumamoto.

We went here when we needed to relax and get a coffee. The boat House has great food, a good view of the lake and Park. You can go on the paddle boats, play with the kids on the many grassed areas or view all the bird life that lives on the water. A great place for the avid photographer.

This is different place from Suizenji garden, pals. Its on different side with large lake. I think its like eco garden. People enjoy jogging here and observe nature. I enjoyed it in the night during firefly season.

This is the first Kumamoto attraction that I visited and I stayed in the park for 3 to 4 hours. It is one of those places where you can just sit and relax. My kind of place. The feeling of stillness while I sat in one of the benches in the park is energizing. If you want to connect with your inner zen, please do not miss this out when you visit Kumamoto.

This is a beautiful park with spring fed ponds filled with many coy. This once was a Fuedal Lords property hundreds of years ago.

Had great afternoon, i highly recommand renting a boat and enjoying a quick relaxing moment on the lake. Suizenji park is more formal, worth it if you are interested by history and culture.

One tram stop past Suizenji park is Shiritsutaiikukan-mae. I got off the tram there and proceeded down a path along a river. This leads to the park and boat rentals. A nice place off the beaten path.

We walked through the park one afternoon, almost by accident (we'd tried to go to the zoo which was closed!)

It's a huge park with beautiful scenery and lots of places to stop and sit.
