The station is easy for foreigners to use. Lots of English signs and counter staff that understand english. Definitely a great way to get around the town.

But not much help using it as the helpers there had very little English. The free map though had all we needed to find out what we needed to know

This is a little information center, but people can earn information here. There are 3 staffs in the center on the day I visit there, one of them can speck english, and I asked her how can I get the train, she answered me detailly....More

Just on the left side of Kumamoto station in big letters Tourist Information.Friendly staff who spoke English and give you a free English map and any other information you might need.An essential quicky stop :)

Recommend to visit the tourist information at the city side of the station. Got all information we needed quickly without much guessing.
