We had a local showing us around for the day and she took up to nokinishima island . There is a ferry that takes you across to the island or if you know a local who can negotiate a way across on a local fishing boat this is the best way! We walked up the hill ,it took about 1... More

Take the bus from the port to top of the hill. Lovely garden covered by flowers. Reasonable restaurant with a good choice of Japanese meals and food. Lovely to stroll around the island.

What a gem!!! We went on a slightly cool but sunny day. The views were stunning. The flowers and trees were splendid. There is something for everyone. Places to eat, petting zoos, play areas, bike riding, and lots of gorgeous scenery. I could have went back the next day. TAKE YOUR CAMERA!!!!

If you have one day off in Fukuoka, I strongly recommend you to go on excursion to Nokonoshima. It is just marvelous! It takes only 10 minutes from Meinohama ferry terminal (you can take a bus from Meinohama subway station), and it costs only $2.10. The main attraction is Nokonoshima Island Park. But beside that, there are some interesting shrines... More

Was there with a friend: we took bus #300 from Tenji to the ferry pier, took the ferry to Nokonoshinma Island, took the bus to Island Park. Recommended for a day out to Nokonoshima Island. Me and friends took a lot of photos of the flowers. There is a rabbit den in Island Park on the island.

Try to get here! Although I was the only customer that day as raining, but nevermind! have the all park by myself is nice! Haha! There were many beautiful flora to see and all of them are beautiful. レストラン防人 was delicious and the staff there was very friendly! Try to have a stay here for 5000/pax which was pretty cheap!... I rated this 3 because there were not much flowers in season during my visit, but still enjoy my time there. I saw Japanese camellia, scarlet sage and cosmos. I only got to see them in Japan. Next time, I want to see tulips~ Transportation is very easy, Fukuoka tourist pass covered the bus rides, except the ferry fare of... More
