It was sad to see these ruins. You can't imagine that such a huge castle compound had to be dismantled because the lord lost a battle and lost everything. It must have been so beautiful in its heyday. There were cherry blossom trees all over the place. Gorgeous.

There is nothing much to see except for some cherry trees along the park. Ohori Park is just next to it. Go only if you have extra time... if not, it can be missed.

Go there not for the remains but for the view of the Ohori Park, and the City. It is beautiful! It is an easy walk to the top with lots of sakura trees but nothing much except for the view at the top. Worth the effort though.

Only one plus - this is only one traditional castle in Fukuoka. Only 2 buildings out if castle are still there. You can take good pictures, but there is nothing special

It is hypothesised back in the day this castle was quite grand and beautiful, but now all that remains is the sloping stone walls that served as a foundation and to lift the Castle above the ground as a form of security. Part of the turrets that made up part of the castle remain, but the majority of the Castle... More

A lot of walking. Uphill! Nothing to see. Dont expect to see anything but simply where the castle used to stand.

We walked for kilometers under freezing temp just to visit this place. When we got there, all we saw was not just what was left of it, it was also being repaired. To my eye, it wasn't really a castle. But since we were there already, we just snapped some cool photos on top of its stone walls.

When we went to visit, I was hoping to see the images on the pictures. Unfortunately, it was just tons of bricks. Just really remains/ruins as the name implies. The view on the top deck, however, was a fabulous view of Fukuoka. It's a good view to take Panoramics.

It was so cold weather, but really satisfied. good to walk. and the view at the top, it was really amazing. You don't need to go another place to see city view. I recommend go here at Spring.

Large castle ruins, you can walk up to the top for some nice views. Come here after visiting Ohori Park, it is right next to it. Many ruins, castle largely destroyed.
