Crowded with tourists, yet there are enough deer to go around! Watch out for little pellets of droppings, be careful where you step. If you buy biscuits, be prepared to be assaulted. The deer watch who goes to the vendor, and get right up in...More

Bought many biscuits to feed them. Becareful as you might attract a horde 😂 got "attacked" by 4 at once but it was quite an experience. They bow for food too. Cute animals. Took a stroll here on the way to Todai-ji.

Each and every deer lover should come to have a good time with deers. The 'certified' deer crackers (wrapped by green tape) are sold at fixed price, mostly by old ladies. Advised to feed the deers with these crackers, but certainly some deers are fond...More

Nice for a stroll with the family. Tame deer all along the paths, beautiful trees (especially in autumn). Busy with tourists but leads to nice ancient sites (eg Big Buddha)

Cafe de nature is a decent little restaurant just opposite to the museum. Food is nice and a decent lunch is just around 1000 yen. The address is 59 Noboriojicho, Nara.

You could probably cycle to the various park entrances but not through the park itself. Too many people and deer. Also, didn't see any bike stands.

They are generally out and about, we got caught in the rain and ended up sharing cover with some of them, which was quite an unusual experience.
