This highland is easy to arrive by public bus from Nikko station. Visitor centre prepared some routes for different level visitors. I think autumn is best season for this highland, in summer just some green and it's really hard for 1000 stairs in hot day....More

We visited the highlands in early spring and although weather was perfect, the plains were still brownish and flowers had not blossomed.
We could imagine how scenic the place would be when the plains are green and filled with colourful flowers.
