No photos allowed but a nice little cafe and gift shop. Exhibition space was immense but with very few actual exhibition artefacts. We were a bit disappointed given the entrance fee was 500 Yen per adult.

Nice new building in a modern envirement. The muzeum has at most an exposition. We saw" BODY PLAY AND POLITICS" very nice exposed and interesting there is a small galery of european artists small but nice. Another galery are japanese artists from the same times . Its impresive to see them one after the other. A few remarcable european sculptures... More

The artwork was amazing. The Photography room was my favorite part. And only 1,600¥ for an adult ticket made for a great afternoon.

This gallery is very close to the high tower building that dominates the landscape. I really enjoyed my visit and would recommend it to anyone staying in Yokohama for more than a day. It takes a couple of hours to go around. There is a place for bags and there is a small shop at the end.

This is a small art museum compared to its types across the world. But there are some good exhibits and they do conduct some special exhibitions as well. Good to spend an hour or so..

Spent a couple of hours viewing the very complete Mary Cassatt special exhibit. All of her life is represented as well as contemporary painters. The English explanations were beautifully written. I don't feel as if I missed anything in Japanese except the explanation of how wood block prints are made. Not as much of interest in the permanent exhibit but... More

I visited but I personally do not like contemporary art. The area is very nice. The place was clean and well kept. There is construction going on for a park just outside. Lots of places to eat and a mall along the walkway. Worth a visit if you enjoy contemporary art. Takes about an hour or hour and a half... More

The architecture of this place is somehow on the heavy side, reminding me of communist style architecture... However, that doesn't matter, it's artwork that does! I saw Cai Guo-Qiang's exhibition which was fascinating, however it's a shame that it was so short. The permanent collection's highlight is a big piece by Salvador Dali as well as his sculptures. Overall a... More

Mostly features 'Emperor's new clothes' style modern art exhibitions, but I go frequently, as the huge Dali triptych in the main room is possibly the work of art I enjoy most in the world.

don't understand the art, its boring for me, it was a waste of time and money. its probably for people who are more into modern art. There were not much visitors anyway, there is a lady guarding every room, and falling asleep :-)
