Great place for photos and it is very peaceful. The color of Hakone Shrine contrasted with the lake is really breathtaking. We also got a glimpse of a couple in traditional clothes.

After experiencing Tokyo life and its effervescence, it was quite pleasant to walk there and even to queue in order to take a picture. A gentle break.

It was a fun and cool experience. The stairs are a bit of an exercise, but it was something I enjoyed to the fullest.

Very orderly, queues were formed for photo opportunities. Interesting peek into the architecture and local culture. There were some really old trees around the shrine, close to nature. Could use a little more translation for the write ups around the shrine.

A good 10-15 mins walk from Hakone Machi-ko pier. 1. Interestingly, we need to queue about 15mins (at around 3pm) to take photos at the Torri gate by the lake side. You will hand your camera/phone to the person behind you to take photo for...More

Was one of the most beautifull shrine we visited. The walk up the patch was amazing. So green and lush. With the contrast of the red lanterns. Would love to go back and spend more time just soaking up the view.

Had seen photos on this website which made me want to visit. But none had prepared me for how ancient, beautiful and picturesque this area is. Humbled 🙏🏻

A Hakone landmark to which visitors should pay respects. The Shrine is a bit up the hill and a giant Torii is in the water of the lake.
