The building itself is a modern piece of Art on its own. Good collection. Very helpfull staff who helped us to get a taxis to leave. Being there in Autumn with the beautiful red leaves was a great plus.

The architecture is simply stunning. Clean lines with major elements such as glass, wood and concrete. Whole place is in the midst of a forest so after you complete the tour inside the building, do take a walk outside on the grounds. It's so peaceful...More

This museum is fantastic. Only the building is worth seeing. Very good collection, not busy so you can take your time strolling and admiring the art pieces. Great for a rainy day

The museum building is beautiful with plenty of natural light and views of the garden. We did not have time to explore the outside areas but they will make for a nice stroll if you have a lot of time in Hakone.

Fantastic gallery in a beautiful area of Japan! Level of art is world class; building that pieces are housed in, is a work of art it's self. Well worth the visit will not disappoint.

This is a beautiful gallery tucked away in the forest and should be on your list if you enjoy art. Quite small but has great selection of top European painters and a lovely building in which they are all housed.

My family thought this was one of the most beautiful museums they had ever visited. The architecture, the setting, the art work all was as good as it could be. This is a museum you won't want to miss!
