Beautiful building and landscape. Many art collections including my favorite Monet. Both restaurant and cafe are pricy. You can easily enjoy full day including hiking trail behind the museum.

This was a nice surprise in Hakone. The museum is a beautiful building. Although the art collection is not so big, it is a compact size and nice collection. We were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed our visit very much.

The building is a work of art in itself - an award-winning masterpiece. We became immediate fans of the architect - Yasuda Koichi - for his light-filled let-the-outside-in glass design. The art hanging on the walls is pretty good, too. We went for the Impressionism...More
