We managed to get on this as part of a group tour but unfortunately, the weather didn't play ball. About three-quarters of the way up the mountain we got engulfed in mist so once we got to the top, there was nothing to see. Could...More

We went up in a dense fog and while up there the wind changed and we had tremendous views. It was like two trips in one. Mt Fuji is on the right going up and on the Left going down. I'd def recommend if in...More

Excellent for views of Mount Fuji but don't go up if it's cloudy, misty or raining as you will see nothing and waste a couple of hours.

We traveled here as part of the Hakone & Mt Fuji Tour. Rountrip gondola tickets are 1300 yen. Before you board the gondolas, they take photographs with a backdrop which you can purchase if you like on your return. The weather at the top is...More

Came here as part of a tour that included a trip to Mt. Fuji. But for me the trip up Mt. Komagatake was the highlight of the tour. The cable car ride was exciting (though quite full) because you headed up into the clouds. More...More

Great views of the Hakone area and Lake Ashi. It is not as steep as the Nihondaira Rodeway but it is a bit longer. Once you are up, you then see that there is a golf course in Hakone.

My wife and I enjoyed the brief ride up the ropeway. The scenery on the way up is quite engaging. We were concerned that we wouldn't have much of a view from the top since it was a cloudy day, but on the ride up...More

It's 1,357 meters tall. In order to see Mt Fuji better, we need to ride the Ropeway up to the peak of the mountain. It's heartbreaking when riding up or down. I would recommend you if you visit Japan in the future.

They pack people like sardines and are mainly interested in selling you the photograph. There's really nothing interesting up there if you cannot see Mt Fuji. Waste of time.

The cable car takes around 100 people so everyone is not going to get a great view and photo opportunity. 1800 meters long and takes 7 minutes for the trip. Breathtaking views from the top with a further 5-10 minute walk further up to an...More

We used the public transit and walked from the bus stop. I think I remember seeing parking at the base, but I don't know about the top. (Isn't the point to ride up to the top to see the view from there? If it were easy to... More

1080 Yen round trip, open from 8 or 8.30 AM to 3.30PM. It took us about 1 hour, and only because it was freezing cold, in good weather you will want to spend longer at the top, as the views are awesome Also google izuhakone... More
