Cool geology museum, black eggs boiled in the volcano... It is a shame that the hiking trails were closed. The kids liked it so much, we had to go there two days in a row...

We came here using the ropeway from the lake, here you can feel the sulfur smell immediately after you'll put your feet outside the ropeway structure. Here you can see a very special and unique landscape. Do not forget to taste one of the black...More

We booked Dani Garcia’s restaurant on a recommendation from a Spanish friend - and we were not disappointed. The service is impeccable and the food imaginatively presented. Our teenage daughter is coeliac and her dishes were adapted accordingly. As well as the 3 courses chosen...More

The place is called 'hell valley' because of its intensive volcanic activity. As you travel up by cable car, you can get stunning views of the valley below. The yellow colour is due to the sulfur and the smell of sulfur dioxide is very strong....More

This place was very pretty ! You could walk up very close to the volcanos and see things by the telescope (100 ¥). There is a museum about the volcanos which is great and there is food as well.

Getting here is easy and worth the time and crowd. This was such a neat sight and incredibly well organized. Take the lift over the valley and take in that wonderful sulfur smell ;) There are public restrooms, food, souvenirs, and other sights to see...More

The view from the top, the ride in cablecar, the black eggs. A nice stop while in Hakone. Black eggs taste like any boiled eggs. The color is impressive. Funny and cheap lunch/snack.
