One of the better ones

There are many glass shops on Sakaimachihondori street but this one has more variety mainly because there are Italian glasswork

The glass works in here are very nice. I was looking at one of the glass pens with ink but wasn't sure if I'd be able to get it home in one piece. I think this store is more for the locals than for visitors as we (visitors) would probably prefer to get Venetian glass in Venice.

We spent a good two hours in here, which is impressive considering how small it looks from the outside. Photos are discouraged, and entrance is about $15 USD per person. Worth it! The glasswork is gorgeous, the interior itself is beautifully decorated, and upstairs there's a little café for coffee and pastries. Awesome place.

This was a very interesting glass shop and venetian art museum complete with a floating gondola in the center of the store. I ended up purchasing three glass necklaces for Pat here. They were beautiful and very reasonable for the quality. You received a 8% tax refund on purchase totaling more than 10,810 yen or approximately $100.

Exhibits are interesting if you're into Italian, Venetian art and craft. Main attraction being the gondola that Lady Diana sat in. We headed straight to the top floor to the cafe where hot chocolate is famed.

There are some interesting Venetian exhibits, but not enough to justify the entry fee. Also, none of the exhibits are related to Otaru directly.
