We have around 20 small shops in the historical building.Walk into the narrow pathway and explore your favorite shop! Make friends at shops with friendly shop staff. Have a nice chat while eating and drinking. Also, a good place for bar hopping. Don't forget to climb up the tower. Otaru Canal and the ocean is in front of your eyes!

It closes for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Lots of street food places. It seems quiet even in the summer season, I think partly because people were eating to the food hall on the other side of the canal.

Stumbled into this little gem by accident. You actually have to do a little exploration in the narrow pathway between the small shops. We were drawn into a cozy Yakitori grill place, where the patron can fit 10 guests around his grill bar. Started out...More

Just bump into this area when walking towards the canal. It is just a normal small places with shops. Perhaps, we have spent a few days in a bigger and brighter town~Sapporo, thus doesn't find this spot attractive.
