After disappointments with the castle and gardens, we opted to travel out of town to visit this shrine. It was a beautiful day with rich harvests in process and the temple and temple grounds were extremely interesting. A real slice of real Japan. highly recommended...More

there is a gigantic "torii". shirine it self is just okay but there is a long market street on the way to shrine and its very "japanese".
