Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is one of the constituent assets of the Mt.
I visited here in the summer, so it didn't snow, but I could see Mt. Fuji beautifully.
The legend of the celestial maiden's feather robe is also famous.
The pine that is said to have been hung with a feather robe is so weak that for some reason, it has now been replaced by the "third generation" feather pine.

This beautiful beach with shops is the midpoint between Hakone and Osaka. First, the wide beach is grayish with fine sand. We saw many tourists, especially Chinese. Randomly scattered are small souvenir shops including one totally matcha shop -- many tasting opportunities. One strikingly contemporary shop was the Cultural and Creativity Center, where we found interesting items related to Miho Beach. The shop staffs are very polite. We skipped the large shrine because of the many steps.
The view of Mt Fuji was partially obscured by haze or fog.

This is a scenic spot where the legend of Hagoromo remains, and the view of Mt. Fuji from here is amazing. However, I was expecting tourist spots like Amanohashidate and Miyajima, so I was a little surprised to find that the coast was not very popular. It's a good idea to take your time and go for a leisurely walk.

One of the highlights of our trip. From port to Miho no Matsubara there were clouds obscuring Fuji-san. Once we reached the small group of shops before the climb to the beach, the clouds moved and we were blessed with our first sighting of this inspirational sight.

As we moved onto the beach, we were able to see Fuji-san towering over the pine groves along the beach.

This beach has more to see and enjoy than just Fuji-san. Enjoy the shade of the pine grove, discovery the Legend of Hagoromo.

Walk in the pine grove. Walk on the beach. Stand in awe of the grandeur of Mt. Fuji. On a clear day, this is a walk that will reward you with truly memorable views and photographs.

Easily accessible by bus from Shimizu Station. Plan on spending much longer than you think will be necessary; you won't want to hurry through this walk.

Fantastic view of Mt Fuji from here. It was easy to reach from Shimuzu. Leave the station and head for the bus. It’s all signposted in English and the bus makes announcement in English when you reach the right stop and the signs to Miho no Matsubara are also in English. There’s a visitor centre, toilets and some shops and restaurants. Nice promenade lined with pine trees to walk along or you can walk along the beach.

This is a landmark very old pine tree in Shimizu, Japan. Catch the bus out of station 3 at the Shimizu train station -- all these buses go to Hino Beach. Get off at the Hagoromo-no-Matsu Iriguchi bus stop which is about 25 minutes from the train station (360-yen), go across the street, down the lane at the traffic light and turn right then left. You’ll see a nice temple and also the start of the Kami-no-michi or God’s Road. It is a nice wooden walkway leading to the Hino beach area. The boardwalk is lined with beautiful pine trees. Continue on at the end and you’ll get to the Hagoromo-no-Matsu which is an old pine tree and then you’ll see the pebbly sand Hino beach. On clear days you can get very scenic photos of Mount Fuji from here.

We were on a cruise and decided to go out on our own that day. We walked from the boat a short distance to catch the bus which was about two dollars. When you’re on the bus it actually announces the name of where we were getting off. Cross the street walked a couple blocks till we got to the entrance. You walk down a long path that is lined with pine trees. It is beautiful and very relaxing. When you get to the end you’ll be at the beach. There was a couple stores there to buy souvenirs and of course some softserve ice cream was available. We got some great pictures and we were lucky enough to be able to see Mount Fuji that day.

A great viewing spot to see Mt Fuji. On the four weeks we had been in Japan Mt Fuji had been invisible when we were in a location where we might have had a glimpse. So we were not very hopeful.
After a walk along the boardwalk through the pine trees we arrived at the black sand beach. It was sunny, but hazy, however we did finally see Mt Fuji in the middle distance.
To see the mountain on a clear day from this beach would be spectacular.

I was a member of the Staff of the 5th Air Force Sea Survival School. I lived in the home of the local Obasan across from the village laundry and about a block from the onsen. It was the most beautiful and serene area I had ever visited or lived in. The location close to Fuji, Hakone, Ashinoko and the entire Izu Peninsula allowed for much beauty and tranquility. It was truly a memorable place and once which In intend to visit again soon.
