Take the JR Tokaido Main line to Yui Station. From Yui Station you can either hike or take the TAXI. After eating a traditional Japanese lunch right across the Yui Station, we hailed a TAXI. After showing him the picture of the poster of Satta...More

If it is your first time going, I recommend to start at Yui station, as the path is clearly marked. You basically just walk on the residential road up to the top. Even in early February there are plenty of mikan (oranges) to buy along...More

Nice walk with a beautiful view of Mount Fuji. Since we took the tour the day after the Tsunami, we walked in the direction from Yui to Okitsu with the plan to turn back if needed. However, the heavy rain had not harmed the trail...More

On our way back to Tokyo, we asked a very helpful Train Station Staff about a very attractive poster of Mt Fuji at the background and lake/bay and hill with red wooden road barriers. He gave us directions on how to reach that place. After...More

It's really amazing view to Mt Fuji from here...it's quite a walk, but it's worth it:) I would suggest to have a map, it's difficult to find it.

We were blessed with great weather and a vivid Fujisan on our day of visit. It was near noon time. We drove there and the paths were rather steep and narrow. Be careful when driving there. Many mikans(oranges) were seen in harvest at the vicnity....More

You can either drive up there or take off JR train at Yui Station and hike there. You will enjoy a great view of Mt. Fuji. There are some historical houses and museum on your way too. FYI, Mt. Fuji looks more beautiful in winter...More

We drove by this pass 6 times in the past 2 years, yet even during winter time, we still could not see Mount Fuji. You really have to be in extremely good luck to see the view in all those nice photos.

Satta-toge is old Tokaido, located between Yui-syuku and Okitsu-syuku. It is very good view point, you can see Mt.Fuji, Suruga-gulf, Tomei-highway, Route #1 at once. From Yui-syuku, you go west, and turn right for old Tokaido. You will arrive [Ichiriduka(Milestone of Tokaido)], that is entrance...More

Yes, but I'd suggest walking from Okitsu Station (one stop from Yui) and ending at Yui Station. It's a little more difficult to find the entrance to the trail, but you will have Mt. Fuji in front of you the entire time. If... More
