The city of Itō has a nice beach just minutes from downtime. Unfortunately it is not well maintained. There was trash on the beach and in the water. Unexpected in the otherwise ultra-clean Japan.

It's very popular in the summer but I was surprised at how dirty it was. Both the sand and the water are cluttered with trash. The city of Ito should take more pride in this beach so it would attract more people to the town.
