We took the cable car to the castle, not very excited cable car trip up, short and not much view. After we were off the cable car, we need to walk pass a wired sex museum to go to the castle. I have to explain...More

You should go there to have the best view of the city, not only for the castle itself. It is just another castle. Have some exhibits too. But the view around from the top is breathtaking!

Located in Atami , Shizuoka prefecture. The castle can be accessed from the JR Atami station by bus or by using the Atami ropeway. The castle stands on the edges of the coast line offering wonderful views of the bay area, Atami city and Hatsushima...More

Once you've reached the top of the moint they start charging extra for everything. The castle itself is barely worth the fee and is one of the smaller castles in Japan.

The castle is a poor reconstruction of what was perceived to be originally there. The original stone walls and moats which protect the area are fantastic and are in themselves the only original feature and are mind boggling in their own right.

As this is not a real castle it is basically a tourist attraction that doesn't really give you a lot for the money you paid for but REALLY tries to. It has an arcade, foot spa, an old-looking exhibition about castles and samurai which is...More

Long queue to get up to the "castle" which is a tourist attraction. We didn't pay to go inside. The car parking is highly organised though as all Japanese things are. Not worth the trip up unless you just want to have a view of...More
