Inside the attraction hall is a large playground where children can run while still being supervised by parents/guardians. In short, this place has something for everyone. It does get a little busy on the weekends and closes relatively early in the day, so earlier is better. There's tons of parking and overflow parking as well. The water shuttle is a great way to extend your time at furusatomura with a mini-cruise up/down the Shinano River.

There is also a theater that houses a movie about Niigata.. of course in Japanese but easier to follow You will also find a place to dine local food, buy local rice crackers, sake at very reasonable prices compared to other shops. The place also houses Tsubame Sanjo pottery work, famous not only for kitchen tools, but also souvenirs for young kids..
