Be sure to see the fabulous wooden art concept Torii at the front of the station. Fab architecture. Good food and, as expected good travel networks.

I enjoyed the station mostly as an interesting example about the uses and the controlling of public space.

The large gate in front of the entrance is striking. Looking down from our hotel gave a good impression of the design. Spacious and clean with a wise range of restaurants. Excellent for people watching.

The Kanazawa train station is efficient and easy to navigate. Once you step out from the train, signs are mostly in English too and you can take buses or taxis easily. it also has some shopping options that are open till relatively late
