With so many beautiful old conifers & autumn splendour everywhere we just walked in awe around these gardens. The supports were being put in place to protect the branches during the snow season - very interesting. The "lawns" were being hand weeded & all in...More

It was raining for days when I visited. It was not snowing and just right at the end of autumn and beginning of winter. I supposed this place will be beautiful when it starts snowing and when the Sakura flowers starts snowing. Don’t visit right...More

We visited in October and the place was packed. Regardless, we could stroll through the gardens. They are beautiful and well kept. There are great photo spots and places to sit.

Like several other reviewers, we had been told this garden would be a highlight of our trip, but we left disappointed. I suspect that it may be more beautiful at other times of the year (we were there in October). It was also very busy....More

Probably Kanazawa's #1 attraction along with the castle, beautifully kept gardens that retains a spacious feel even with other visitors around. Water features, sculptures and a lovely place to stroll around.

The park is very colorful and quiet. The combination of the trees and the eater and the stones are very nice You can wander around if you have enough time

This was the highlight of our trip in Kanazawa. The garden is beautiful, peaceful and very well kept. When walking through it one starts to appreciate the simplicity of the Japanese gardens compared to the European parks. There is also a historic tea house where...More

As a keen gardener I was really looking forward visiting but it was a little disappointing. At least as an over 65 year old entry was free!

Parking is difficult and not necessary unless you are in a wheelchair or such. The park and castle are well served by public transport and once you are there it is great walking around the park and castle and art museum.
