金沢市大手町にあります、廃藩置県以後次々と埋められた金沢城の堀の中で、今なお唯一残っているのが大手堀です、平成元年に補修工事し散策路を整備したここは桜の名所です。

金沢城の堀です。廃藩置県の後次々に埋められ今なお残るのはここの大手掘りだけです。ここは桜の名所です堀の向かいのレストラン2階から花見ができてランクを食べる最高ですね。

金沢市大手町にあります、金沢城の堀の中で今なを唯一残っているのが大手掘りです大手掘りには遊歩道もあり散歩がてら歩くのも最適です私は子供の頃この近くに住んでいたのでここで魚釣りをしたのが懐かしいですまた桜時期には花見のスポットです。

金沢城の北側にある外堀です。金沢城の大手門と旧大手門とも言える黒門口の間にありました。
北側にあるため日影が多く、人気観光地の金沢城の中では人の気配が少ない場所でした。
慶長初期(1600年前後)に造られたとされ、金沢城の堀の中で当時から残る唯一の堀のようです。
金沢城の南西側を囲む外堀のいもり堀の方がキレイでしたが、復元されたものであるので、現存するここ大手掘の方がはるかに貴重なものですね。
お堀越しに見える新丸広場手前の石垣は草木が生茂る古城感あふれる雰囲気で、堀もキレイな水ではありませんが、歴史ある古い堀の雰囲気がオリジナリティを感じさせるもので好きです。

金沢白鳥路ホテル山楽に宿泊したら、金沢城公園の中でライトアップしてる場所があるとのことを伺い、散歩がてらここを通っていきました。
夜は静かな場所で人もあまり通りません。少し寂しげですが、どこか落ち着く場所です。
桜が咲いたらきれいだろうな。

金沢城の外堀にあたるお濠の一つ。大手堀、百聞堀、いもり堀などあるが、大手堀は埋め立てられることなく現在までその姿を残している。現在は大手掘りの周辺は遊歩道になっており、散策コースとしても市民から親しまれている。
