I would recommend a visit here if you are in the area. It is a pottery store with a long family history. Evidently they are well known for hand made pottery. The owner himself did the tour and showed how the pottery is made. At...More

A friendly visit around in the pottery with clear explanation on the production process. Afterwards a nice session of decoration of glazed ceramics.

Our tour was conducted by the owner of the Pottery Kiln. He is from a long line of potters and spoke very clear English. He threw several pots from raw clay including a rice bowl and a sake pitcher. This is a very informative demonstration

Our family of four with two teenagers greatly enjoyed your and pottery painting workshop. They ship your kilned pieces back to USA in ~2 months. Good English spoken, super friendly.

This is an interesting pottery studio and gallery. This kiln dates back to 1870 and the tour was led by a potter who is the 6th generation in the family business. Interesting and beautiful work on sale for all price ranges (artwork to practical pieces).

Great place to buy traditional Japanese pottery. First you start with a tutorial on the process of making the pottery from the wheel to the kiln to the artistry to retail. The craftsmanship is quite good. My only negative comment is that the showroom has...More
