Four routes, each divided into ten sections by stopping and refueling stations, lead up to Mt. Fuji's snow-covered tip. You don't have to be a die-hard mountaineer to climb Mt. Fuji; the slopes are full of children and adults of all ages, shapes, and sizes. The official climbing season only runs from the beginning of July to the end of August, but you can take the train from Toyko to the fifth station any season.

We went to Mount Fuji today. We took the express bus from shinjuku station about $1750 yen person to Kawaguchiko station. The express bus station is at the fourth floor of the shinjuku station. Once you get off the Kawaguchiko station, you can take the sightsee bus to the lake that you wanted to go. The sightsee bus has around... More

My Family and myself have never seen snow, till we set foot on Mount Fuji. Looking from Far or near it is still beautiful. I took Sunrise Tour. They were very good and professional. The host was speaking good English and very helpful. The transport bus was clean and the restaurant they brought us for lunch was also good. Highly... More

We went a place called Kawaguchiko to check out the view of the great Mt Fuji. We loved it there. Was a great sunny day which made our experience that much better. There are five likes in the area but we chose Lake Kawaguchico To get here you need catch three trains from Tokyo. Firstly you need to catch the... More

From Tokyo, this is a full day excursion by train, then bus to the 5th station. Bring cash. You may not be able to buy the bus ticket to 5th station without cash. At the base of the mountain there are adjacent stores that take cards, but ONLY at the bottom of the mountain, near the train station. Keep an... More

I arrived at the 5th station of Mount Fuji with local bus tour team. It was like an hour visit, at the end of autumn 2016 (Nov) in Japan. Temperature was around 7-8 degree Cels, cloudy, snowy on top of Fuji. I had this incredible feeling to be on site one of the great famous nature of the world. Camera... More

Seeing Mount Fujisan was just a pit stop for us during our 8 day trip in Japan but it absolutely became the highlight of the entire trip. We picked an onsen in Kawaguchiko over Hakone for the closer and superior views even though it was more out of the way but it was completely worth it and we regretted not... More

I've always seen Mount Fuji from the plane so it was definitely something I wanted to see on my latest trip to Japan. It didn't disappoint. I'm glad the weather cooperated with us and we had sunny blue skies. It made for some wonderful pictures. We took a day trip from Tokyo through Viator. It included a trip on Lake... More

The whole day trip to Mount Fuji is an excellent experience if not a little regimented. Its on quite tight timetables but having said that I think we went on a really clear day and had wonderful clear views of Mount Fuji and of Lake Ashi from the top of Mount Hakone. I will say though that the cable car... More

Although Mount Fuji (or Fuji-san; 富士山) lies about 100 kilometres (60 miles) south-west of Tokyo, it can be seen all the way from Tokyo city (and Yokohama) on a clear day. That's right, on a good day, Japan's most beloved mountain can be viewed across the Tokyo skyline! I got to see it from the Executive Lounge on the 37th... More
