I don't know why they call it red dunes, as it is more yellow than red. When we visited it, it was full of people, so that is maybe the main reason it was so much trash on the sand. Lots of plastic bottles and bags which were carried by the wind... It is too close to the road, and... More

The dunes are cool. And walking up the dunes is nice. But don't expect to much from sliding down the dune on a board. It will only take you down a couple of meters.

Lots of people here for sunset. Including a lot of people trying to sell you things. Okay, but I preferred the white dunes.

This area is a little dirty and rundown, lots of young kids hassle you for mats to slide on, the dunes themselves are small but the colour outstanding especially at sunset.

I wasn't amazed. Could be nice at the sunset where cloudy at our visit. Easy to reach by bike. All in all a simple tourist spot.

A bit cloudy the day we walked up the sand dunes. Only things to do are walk to the top so as to see a great sunset, if your lucky. But pay the young kids for a ride down the dunes on one of the made up slides. A great laugh and super fast.

We went to the white sand dunes before this one. Compared to that, this one is more dirty/ polluted. The view and landscape are not as astonishing.

If you have a moped it's easy to get there yourself, just head out of mui ne with the sea on your right. When you get to the village of mui ne and the White church on your left at the traffic lights, turn left and follow the road. You can't miss the dunes as people try to flag you... More
