I really enjoyed the red dunes. We arrived early in the morning and had an excellent time sliding down the side of the dunes. The red dunes are quieter then the white dunes and also don't have all the noise of the quad bikes.

Take your time and save your breath for the climb, not too challenging but it requires a significant effort to reach the highest area to see the massive reclining statue of Buddha by your own eyes. Cable cars already save you a long distance from the mountain's foot. Fresh air at high altitude will release your tireness after all. Great... More

This is a series of levels you climb, first level up to a temple and they are constructing a new large Pagoda, next level to a new rock carving then the last up to the lying Buddha, this one is quite steep and over some rocky ground, but don't let this put you off as the final giant lying Buddha... I am glad I did this and the mountainside was very foggy and damp. Being a westerner and not used to the climate I was soaking wet with perspiration upon climbing the last steps to see the reclining Buddha. Worth going once.

Really worthwhile to visit, but be warned there is a lot of stairs, so wear comfortable shoes and take a water bottle with you. Absolutely worthwhile to go right to the top.

TripAdvisor needs to consolidate these 3 listings because they are all the same thing. It makes planning more difficult than it needs to be. That said, this is an attraction that you just HAVE to see in person as pictures do not do it justice. The Reclining Buddha is majestic in it's sheer size! You will have to ride up... More

Nice half day excursion south of Phan Thiet (about an hour or so) through some interesting small towns and dragonfruit fields. The cable care and monastery om the 500m mountain are interesting as a side attraction and change of pace away from the beach and night life of Phan Thiet. The giant Buddha is certainly a sight to see in... More

Not as interesting as what you think Very faraway from the city and nothing to see but renovated huge statues (basically 5 statues only) I mean if you have been to other places like Ngong Ping 360 in Hong Kong or Owakudani in Japan....you will never appreciate this place anymore. Just skip it. You may think you have just wasted... More

Do not forget to visit this interest place, I called Mr. Chau at 099.131.7790 and pay only 60usd for the tour by jeep, many other tour offices showing double price.

The budda is located in a mountain and is 43 m. Is a fantastic atmosphere to be there ...go early in the morning if you want to feel the spirit of meditation. After 10 a.m . is everything in russian hands.
