Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's close to the elevator to Gogyosan. I think it's in the parking lot at Gate 2.
The entrance fee is separate from Gogyosan.
It's slippery inside and water drips, so you will get quite wet. It's a good idea to bring a raincoat.
There is a small area where you can go outside, but there are many steep stairs. It's slippery and narrow, so it's quite difficult. Considering that, the view is not so great, so it's best not to go up. The third and fourth photos are from below and above the ascending floor. The last photo is the view.

The day that I visited Marble Mountains was cold and rainy. I wasn't really sure where I was going or what I was doing. By the time I reached Hoa Nghiem cave, I was tired and cold. But when I walked through the entrance, I audibly gasped. This is something like I've never seen before. The cave is massive and contains a buddha, two pagodas, at least one ancient grave...and is just breathtaking. You cannot get here without paying for entry to Marble Mountains but don't skip this.

Marble mountains is a complex of 5 huge rocks on flat Da Nang landscape.
They're considered holy places of Champa people who ruled the area from 5-16 century, and built shrines within the caves. Each of them they named after 5 life elements: water, wood, fire, earth and metal.
This is the biggest and most impressive shrine you can visit on the Water Mountain. Huge marble Buddha carved in rock with sunbeams making their way through cave holes - amazing site.

You can take an elevator up and down from the mountain but you still have a lot of walking to do to see all the different caves. Reasonable restrooms available. The caves have status and temples within them and are quite interesting. There are many caves to see.

We visited this place in march 2023. It is a part of marble mountain only. You need a ticket to visit the place. They also have elevator to go up, however, you need to use stairs to come down. Not recommended for elderly people.

Very nice visit to a site located in an unlikely place. Access by an elevator to access the site where you can stroll peacefully between sacred caves, pagodas, small nooks and crannies to discover, all with beautiful vegetation. Sufficient duration of 1h30/2h, an unexpected and pleasant little break!

Went to map location which is wrong so did not go. Hopefully others won't follow directions but note it's part of marble mountains.

Come to Hoa Nghiem Cave you will find the atmosphere quiet. It's pretty cool inside. This area is a spiritual destination not only for indigenous peoples but also for many other places.
Tips: You should have a language proficient guide for the meaningful visit session.

These caves are NOT cold, barely cool. So dress light because the rest is hot. Beautiful and historic, the statues and artwork in he caves are just like the caves themselves. Plan on spending 2-3 hours here, preferably in the morning or later afternoon. Too hot in middle of day. And make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes. And ladies, careful with the short skirts. Lots of steep stairs. Hope this helps.

How can I locate the cave on Google Maps? :-)
I would like to ride a motorcycle there.
Written 13 May 2017
You can ride motorbike to the cave from Hoi An ( 30 mins) or Da Nang ( 10 mins)
Just along to the ocean road, the only group mountains that you can see on the way from Da Nang to Hoi An is Marble Mountain. Climb up to the mountain ( Thuy Son - Water mountain) you will see the direction that lead you to the cave.
