- RaymondaleKuala Lumpur, Malaysia1,115 contributionsmagnificent and solemni came here on 11 September when i stayed in da nang for two nights. lady buddha statue here is the tallest in vietnam, it is magnificent and solemn, it located at linh ung pagoda area, you can visit both in one day, you can see Da Nang city here also, beautiful city view. The statue stands facing the sea, with one hand praying and the other one holding a pitcher of nectar, as if she is blessing the fishermen who were reaching out to sea for a peaceful and successful crop. many tourists love to take pictures with lady buddha, as if doing so, will get protected by lady buddha, i am one of them too, haha. besides lady buddha, there is also a statue of laughing buddha, just standing in front of the lady buddha statue. both are important to Buddhists, if you came here, remember to pay respect to them, and also praying here.Visited September 2023Travelled soloWritten 4 October 2023
- Ma NaAmbala, India340 contributionsWhite marble Lady Buddha. We never heard about Lady Budha and temple for her amazed us. Such a big statue of white marble of Goddess / Lady Buddha facing sea is beautiful. We took numerous pictures around her . Atmosphere at afternoon time is pleasant . Place is quite neat and clean . You can spend about 1 hour relishing beautiful environs / sceneary here . However, lady Buddha statue is one of the highest in Danang / Vietnam which is visible from far of the places in Danang.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 27 November 2023
- Jadene YSingapore, Singapore76 contributionsBeautiful lady Buddha.December time, the sun sets around 5.15pm. we reached there around 3.45 pm and prayed first. around 4pm, the weather is nice and cooling to venture around the grounds. the place is peaceful and beautiful especially during sunset time. it is easy to book a grab ride from city but our hotel told us that it is sometimes difficult to get a ride back...so we booked the driver for return trip too.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 12 December 2023
- Travel MarkBury St. Edmunds, United Kingdom71 contributionsAmazing Place to VisitAn amazing place to visit and spend a couple of hours. We got a Grab from Da Nang and the driver waited for us and took us back to the city afterwards. Monkey mountain is here so you may be lucky enough to see some, alongside visiting the temples and statues.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 January 2024
- ShannonSuva, Fiji1,137 contributionsViewing the BayCompared to the Macau Lady Buddha this one is miles better. The whole site's grounds are well maintained. Beautiful scenery within the area and viewpoints out onto the bay. There are a lot of vantages with great viewpoints so you'll have a lot of chances to escape crowds here, as this place gets quite crowded. Also note there are large monkeys so if you're in a secluded area be mindful of your surroundings.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 January 2024
- BrakiWorldTravelerBelgrade, Serbia19,438 contributionsTerrific Temple and best Da Nang bay viewsLady Buddha is a magnificent temple complex located on a small peninsula north from Da Nang. It's easy reachable with taxi (Grab) with a few bucks 10-15 min ride. Main star is the tallest Lady Buddha statue in all southeast Asia, but apart from it you can visit the Monastery complex with library, kitchen, etc... No fee entry. From the Temple premises are amazing views of Da Nang bay with its high rises. Count on around 1,5 - 2 hours for entire visit including transportation.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 31 January 2024
- Dreamon21Hong Kong, China83 contributionsGood Side TripThe pagoda in Son Tra is not very far from Da Nang but there are some hilly roads to climb if you drive or ride a bike. So to make things easier and relaxing we just booked a day tour with other side trips. Our guide gave us sufficient time to visit and take pictures. It is indeed a good place to take beautiful pictures if you like taking pictures otherwise you do not need to stay long in that place. It was winter when we went there so it was very windy and chilly with a bit of rain, so you need to check the weather before going there at different times or season. There are many figurine character statues and the bonsais are very well kempt and beautiful.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 19 February 2024
- mzzyap3,374 contributionsGood place to visitLady Buddha is situated in a promontory facing the long and wide expanse of beaches that Da Nang is famous for. She's 67 meters tall, equivalent to 219 feet 10 inches! There's lots to take pictures of here and the monkeys were well behaved the day we came. Since we stayed at Sala Danang Beach Hotel, we could see the Lady Buddha morning and night. She tends to be the focal point amidst the green background of Son Tra Peninsula during the daytime. At night, she's all serenely lit up. In the photos I attached, you can clearly see the Lady Buddha across My Khe Beach.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 March 2024
- arpitamGurugram (Gurgaon), India931 contributionsBeautiful place to visit in the morningLocated in the northern stretch of Danang coastline, this is a beautiful place to visit in the morning. The adjacent temple complex is spik and span and curated with wonderful bonsai plants and flowers. The view of the Danang city skyline along the coast from the top is absolutely breathtaking. There are refreshment area and facilities for elderly people. There is a beautiful Japanese garden down below which is also worthwhile to visit.Visited April 2024Travelled soloWritten 6 April 2024
- The_Travel_FamilyLas Vegas, Nevada1,123 contributionsBeautiful sceneryGreat place to check out the scenery of Da Nang. There is also a great bonsai tree collection. We found that all the bus tours were gone by midday so this nay be a recommendation time to visit.Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 7 April 2024

This is a good site to visit. Firstly it’s free to enter. The site itself has multiple areas to explore so allow minimum 90 minutes but I would suggest 2 to 2.5 hours plus travel time. There are many marble statues and sculptured trees adding to the overall experience and the site was well maintained.

A short 10 minute drive from the hotel strip brings you to this serene garden with a majestic Quan Yon Buddha that takes your breath away as you gaze up to her delightful face. The vast number of sculptures and mature bonsais keep you entertained. You may peek into a few temples as you stroll the grounds. For those of you looking for monkeys, hang around the parking lot for a bit of mischievous fun... All in all, an hour well spent.

Lady Buddha herself is an incredible sight. The bonsai gardens surrounding were elegant and understated.
The section in front of the lady Buddha is surrounded by the red face monkeys, they are an absolute treat to watch. Finding snacks wherever they can and just going about their business. A definite trip highlight.

If you take a scooter the place is about a 20-30 minutes drive from downtown Da Nang, outside the city. You can park your scooter and walk around, visiting the Lady Buddha statue and the temple area. It's a nice visit popular also with local tourists, giving some insights into local culture and religion.

I’m in awe! The largest Lady Buddha I’ve ever seen. Lady Buddha is the protector of Danang, as she has the power to re-route potential dangerous typhoon in a different direction. She is highly revered for the love she has for the people of Danang. The beautiful bonsai plants adored her lady. When visiting, make sure you truly take a good look at how intricate these plants are. I so enjoyed it so much. As I do my mindfulness, I had the chance to touch these amazing plants. The beautiful blue sky complimented the Lady. I can see Lady Buddha from my hotel room. I thank her for caring for Danang.
Remember, take lots of pictures here to take home to remind you of a serene place.

We went through this place after getting good recommendation. One evening we were next to the beach where we could see light lit on the frame and gives splendid view. After reaching to the place our theme was covered. Its a beautiful place to visit. Worth being there.

Landed in Vietnam, took a break and got a grab car to reach this place at around 4 pm and with wonderful cloudy weather it was just mesmerizing. Lady Buddha - majestic and so blissful standing tall and visible from large parts of coastal da nang. Just so beautiful with all the trees, sculptures and pagodas. Entry is free. Plenty of parking available and getting here is no trouble at all. The view of the coastline and the beaches at sunset is eye soothing. The place is also called monkey mountains but we hardly saw any this day. Must visit !

Use Grab app to get picked up in Danang, and consider a round trip as it can get busy at the parking lot. We didn’t do round trip though and were still fine in booking another Grab once we’d done.
Spent in total about 60-90 mins here walking around the statue, pagoda and admiring the views. Can also watch the monkeys but be careful as we saw one or two getting angry at stupid tourists trying to get too close.
No entry fee and expect many tourists here, but all in all absolutely worth a trip.

Nice little trip, lots of sculptures and temples.
- no entry!!
Guarded parking available, no pay only donation, you pay what you want.
Steep way up, take scooter with minimum 90cc.
Drinks are possible to buy there.
There is a man walking around the assembly who wants money for donation purposes and will first ask you to fill a survey about the location and your satisfaction.
Not sure if he is legit or a scam.

Can the lady buddha be visited at night around 8 pm. And if so, what can I expect at such time?
Written 16 September 2019

You can not visit at the time asked

Hai! Can we order grab car there? Is it save to just walking around back to the city centre?
Written 18 April 2019
We used taxi to visit temple, the driver waited for us in parking lot and when we were finished, he took us back to the Hotel. The wait time did not cost us any additional charge. Only paid meter price of taxi. But be sure to ask taxi service what they are willing to accept for wait.

Hi, Is the place wheelchair accessible? My grandma can’t walk a lot, so we’re planning to bring wheelchair for her. And is it more crowded on weekends compared to weekdays?
Written 31 March 2019
Yes it is, but take your own wheelchair

Taxi is the easiest option we found. but also we used a taxi for the day about £15 £16 and were able to visit various places at our own pace, Marble Mountain is well worth a visit and we did that the Lady Buddha and the American Beach etc etc. good value and a great day.
